OUR HISTORY
1978: It all started with a truck
In 1978 Mike and Craig Schnell saw the opportunity in a rapidly-expanding oil & gas industry and recognized how they would be a part of it. They bought a 1 ton truck and began providing services to operations in the oilfields around Alberta.
1979: Next? A bigger truck, of course
The demand for Maverick’s services soon outstripped the capacity of the original 1 ton truck. The Schnell brothers soon bought a larger truck capable of carrying more equipment – and a crew of three.
1995: Provost office added
With the success of operations in Macklin, the company expanded beyond just trucks, and began working out of a location in Provost, which would become the new headquarters.
2005: Hello, Grande Prairie
Increasing work in northwestern Alberta led to the opening of yet another field office, this time in Grande Prairie.
2013: Expansion across the prairies
After 35 years of operations in Alberta, Maverick expanded with the acquisition of the assets of Toro Projects, which also included assets in Southern Alberta. Maverick's corporate offices were set up in Calgary.
